  BS Sauce Recipe - Printed on  
        BS Sauce
Country Style BS Steak
Great served with Mashed Potatoes or Rice

2/3 cup - BS Sauce
2 cups - Water
2 cubes - Beef Bouillon
Olive Oil
1.25 to 1.5 lb. Cube Steak
1/4 Tsp - Onion Power
1/2 cup - Flour



  1. In a 4.5 quart saucepan mix water, beef bouillon cubes and the BS Sauce (Shake bottle well before pouring)
  2. Bring sauce mixture to a slow boil, once bouillon cubes are dissolved, turn down to a simmer
  3. In a medium mixing bowl add flour and onion power, salt and pepper to taste, mix together (save the flour mix after all pieces are coated)
  4. In a frying pan drizzle some olive oil and heat to a medium high
  5. Place each piece of the cube steak into the flour mix and cover both sides with mixture
  6. Place the pieces in the frying pan and brown both sides
  7. As the pieces of cube steak become browned on both sides move them into the sauce mixture simmering in the 4.5 quart saucepan
  8. Simmer the cube steak in the sauce for 1.5 hours
  9. Once done, remove the cube steak from the sauce and place in a serving bowl
  10. Use the leftover flour mixture to thicken the sauce into a gravy by bringing the sauce to a boil and very slowly add flour mixture a little at a time while stirring until sauce thickens to liking
  11. Pour thickened sauce into serving bowl with cube steak and serve


  Add 1/2 cup chopped onions to sauce mix, Sauté onions in olive oil for 4 to 5 minutes before adding to sauce
